King Biscuit Patio Cafe

Danielle Reich Trio
7 - 10 p.m. Wednesdays

King Biscuit Jazz Jam!
8 - 11 p.m. Tuesdays

The Biscuit is a combination of patio cafe, funky Heights-area restaurant, and quintessential neighborhood bar. It's on White Oak between Taylor & Houston - just northwest of downtown. The menu is diverse and tasty. The walls feature local artists' works for sale. The bartender knows your name. Yeah, it's like that.

The trio nights (Wednesdays) feature Danielle on vocals, Erin Wright on guitar, and David Craig on bass. We play a lot of jazz. We like to throw in a few originals, and the occasional unique arrangement of rock, folk, and country tunes. We love making people happy, so bring on the requests.

The jam nights (Tuesdays) are co-hosted by Danielle & Erin, plus one of several phenomenal bassists and drummers from the Houston jazz scene. You never know who or what you'll hear at the jam (sax, trumpet, guitar, keys, vocals, drums, bass, harmonica, trombone, melodica, accordion, flugelhorn, flute, violin...). Musicians are welcome to sit in all night long. The jam is designed to be both professional and inclusive - local greats, amateurs, rising stars, and everyone in between are encouraged to jump in.
